Our green L plates are designed for drivers who have recently passed their test and want a clear way to show other road users that they are still building confidence and experience behind the wheel.

Sold in pairs, our green L plates are available in two options: magnetic L plates for convenient fitting and removal, or adhesive L plates for customers who prefer a longer-term fixing.

Please note: green L plates are not legally recognised learner plates and should not be used instead of regulation red L plates while learning to drive. Learner drivers in Great Britain must display a red L on a white background at the front and rear of the vehicle, as explained in the official GOV.UK guidance on L and P plates. If you are currently learning to drive, choose our red L plates instead.

Our green L plates provide an alternative design for recently qualified drivers who want to make other road users aware that they are still gaining experience after passing their test. Each plate features a bold green letter ‘L’ on a white background and measures 178mm × 178mm.

If you would prefer the recognised symbol for newly qualified drivers, we also supply green P plates. P plates are optional in Great Britain and can be displayed after passing your test.

Whether you have only recently passed or are returning to driving after some time away, our green L plates give you a visible way to show that you are still gaining confidence on the road.

Magnetic Green L Plates

Our magnetic green L plates provide a removable option for suitable steel vehicle bodywork. They are easy to fit and can be removed when they are no longer required.

Before fitting, make sure the vehicle surface is clean, flat and magnetic so the plate can make proper contact with the bodywork.

Adhesive Green L Plates

Our adhesive green L plates are suitable for drivers who prefer a longer-term fixing. The self-adhesive backing can be applied to a clean, smooth and suitable vehicle surface.

This option is useful if you plan to keep the plates displayed regularly and do not need to remove them after every journey.
